The mythical monkey month

Some colleagues questioned whether it would be fruitful to project plan based on an estimate of how many monkey months it would take for the project to complete.

If one were to assume that given a sufficiently large number of monkeys on a sufficiently large number of compilers it should only be a matter of time before one of them writes something that meets your requirements.
