My favorite aspect of starting a new job is having a work place that is free of all the pain points that were at the old place. Everything that annoyed you about the old job is gone.
You always get pain points wherever you work, and they might even be the same. However there's a while where you're blissfully ignorant of them.
For a while, everything is new and pain free. You see every aspect of the new job and go, "that used to be very difficult at my old job." It doesn't last forever, but it sure makes the transition enjoyable.
And to confirm my theory I asked a friend of mine about what Google employees gripe. He said that they gripe about not having enough time to work on their 20% project.
No place is perfect forever.
